Position: Java Developer

Contract

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:

As a Java Developer you will be responsible for the following:

Performs all phases of the software development lifecycle
Analyzes user/business needs and functionality to plan and design software systems to meet those needs
Creates a variety of models and diagrams that show programmers the software code needed for an application
Performs software updates, refinement, testing, and debugging to meet business needs
Provides analysis for reports on software project specifications, activities, or status
Advises on the software or system for optimal documentation and future maintenance and updates
May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals
May serve as a team or task lead

QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years of Java work experience
3+ years of microservice or REST-based web service development
2+ years of Oracle database experience including familiarity with PL/SQL scripts
Specifically deploying Springboot services to AWS EC2, ECS and/or Fargate instances
Experience with Gitlab Runner and Docker
Experience with creating and maintaining Terraform scripts
Experience working with Amazon Elastic Load Balancers
Experience with Amazon API Gateway and Lambda functions
Experience with configuring routes, VPCs and subnets
REST Web Service experience is STRONGLY recommended
Spring/SpringBoot Framework experience is recommended
Experience with Kubernetes deployments is recommended
Experience in the use of ETL tools, particularly in a migration from non-relational systems to relational data stores.
Experience working with automated build environments and tools like Jenkins and Maven
Experience with Junit, SONAR, Jenkins, Jersey are a plus
Experience with migration patterns from legacy data storage mechanisms to web based, more standard data stores. This experience should include experience dealing with legacy style data stores.
