I just returned from a week of training in the LEGO Serious Play method with Rasmussen Consulting http://www.rasmussenconsulting.dk/lego-serious-play/.
Our first training class is in the books and it was a resounding success.
Each year I go to the Women ETC conference and I leave thinking what a great day. To have an opportunity to sit and listen to some of the most successful, influential women around the country pioneering innovation, disruptive technology and incredible leadership - its awesome.
Having attended a number of 1Million Cups events previously, it was quite different being front and center as the guest speaker. Talking about Daybreak and the venture into enterpreneurship is a topic that is quite easy
I want to thank everyone that came out on Monday to Jack Brown's. The event was a TREMENDOUS success and the support from the community, our friends and our families were greatly appreciated. The raffle proved to be a huge hit and six lucky winners walked away with some pretty sweet prizes!
When I joined Daybreak a little over three years ago, the draw was working with a team that does things differently - the people, the culture, and the relationship-centric approach. What I did not expect was having to jump on the fitness bandwagon
While it may feel a little redundant to blog about our Mudder experience again, its hard not to. Team Daybreak had 28 members this year, some newbies and some old pro's. This year, we tackled the Mudder course in Doswell, just north of Richmond.
This October, UNOS will be hosting their 7th annual soiree. Its an evening for food and philanthropy.
Our client is a premier law firm that was faced with two significant challenges
For all technology firms in the region, there is one opportunity to showcase your accomplishments and be recognized by your peers for those strides - It's the Richmond Technology Council's Annual Awards Gala.
One of our consultants, Kenny, oversees a group called Cars & Coffee which is an informal get together of car enthusiasts putting on a free car show each and every Saturday...
Last week I was working with a candidate that is interested in relocating to Richmond. Our initial interview was great! He was very personable and it was almost effortless the way he talked me through his 15 year career.
When folks hear the name UNOS, they often associate it with the pizza joint. And for those that actually do know who they are, they are rarely aware that...
I spent my day today at the Carpenter Center attending the Women in Technology's annual conference - Women ETC. This represents the third year of the conference and my second time attending. To say it was engaging is an understatement.
This past Saturday was a tremendous success! With thousands of participants and even more supporters cheering everyone on, it was evident that RVA understands the importance of this message.
Please mark your calendar for September 6th. Daybreak will be one of the corporate sponsors for an event that is very close to our hearts.
Daybreak was recognized by Inc Magazine as #1463 one of the top 5000 fastest-growing private companies in America for 2014.
As I walked into the office on Monday morning, I caught a glance of myself in the reflection of our front door and smiled. I was still sporting my mohawk from this past weekend.
We get a lot of questions about resume formatting from candidates, so I thought we’d talk a little about them…
Yesterday evening we attended an event at the Federal Reserve Bank held by the Richmond Technology Council – RichTech, www.richtech.com. Finalists for this years RichTech Technology Awards were announced. According to Robby Demeria, the Executive Director of RichTech, more firms were nominated for awards this year than the previous five years the event has been held.
Nearly 5 weeks ago, we set out to raise money for the Massey Cancer Center and that effort came to conclusion this past weekend. We formed a team along with a number of close friends and am proud to say Team Daybreak/MWG raised $5,880!!!
Planning a trip and looking for a job are more alike than I thought.
On behalf of a pretty special group consisting of my co-workers from the Daybreak office and my friends from our workout group, MWG – We have decided to band together, pool our resources and reach as many people as possible in an effort to raise awareness for the fight against cancer.
How do you give advice to a job seeker without him/her thinking we as recruiters have ulterior motives. It's no secret that while we help people find jobs, we also earn a fee for our services. Sadly, the latter part of that statement can negatively impact the effectiveness of the first part of that statement. Why is that the case? I have a few potential reasons.
AWESOME news for the Daybreak IT Solutions team. We were recognized in the RVA Top 25 fastest growing companies in Richmond.
Have you ever had one of those moments where something happens, unexpectedly, in the most inconvenient place or time? Well, last fall that “something” happened to me.
It's 5:20 am, my iPhone is vibrating me awake. 15 mins later, I’m just about dressed and ready to head outside and meet my coworkers for an hour of working out.
I have been a fairly avid runner for the past 4-5 years now. Like many folks, it started as an effort to shed a few pounds. Soon after my son was born, I had come to the realization that I had put on as much baby weight as my wife!
