Tough Mudder 2015

While it may feel a little redundant to blog about our Mudder experience again, its hard not to.  Team Daybreak had 28 members this year, some newbies and some old pro's.  This year, we tackled the Mudder course in Doswell, just north of Richmond.  Before we arrived at Doswell on Saturday morning, we did a little carb-loading and pre-Mudder fun at the Daybreak office on Friday evening.  Just like each year, we did some pretty funky haircuts, ventured out to raise awareness and funds for Wounded Warrior, and ultimately had a BLAST on the Tough Mudder course.

For the 5th year in a row, we had a few clients with us along for the ride.  It is always quite rewarding to take that teamwork we've established with our clients from the office setting and channel it by diving thru mud pits, experiencing electric shock and submerging ourselves into ice baths!

This years event presented a challenge unlike the previous 5 years we've done Mudder - It was awfully, awfully hot and that alone required a lot of team work to traverse the 10+ mile course.  At the end of the day, you take all of the obstacles Mudder created and none of them compared to what Mother Nature threw at us.  In fact, watching our group working together to overcome the hardest obstacle of all - dehydration offered me a nice take away for 2015.  Teamwork, camaraderie, and looking out for each other was on full display...Its exactly why we keep coming back!  Who's in for 2016??
